18-months and all caught-up!

Last week we had Brecken's 18-month well-check, and he is now totally caught up to his 18-month peers in development. According to the Denver screening they use, Brecken is developmentally at 21-months of age! WOW, this is the first time he wasn't behind his peers and now he's actually ahead :) Praise God! We were very excited to hear this news. It's not like anyone was concerned about him being behind since he was born so premature, but it was wonderful to hear that he is now up-to-par in every area of development.

He weighed in at 24 pounds, 10 ounces and was 2' 9" or 33"! That put him at 68% for height and 31% for weight! (He's definitely been burning off lots of that baby fat now that he runs 90 m.p.h. all day long :)

Brecken has also been quickly developing his language skills. We told the pediatrician he knew about 10 words but when we actually started to write the words down, it was more like 20 words that he knows!

We are really enjoying this toddler stage. Brecken is a lot more independent now, and it is just so much FUN to watch him grow and change so much! We cherish every moment we have with our miracle boy!
